Erica is a co-founder of Crunchbase’s #1 hottest startup in the world for 2019, she made the exclusive Fortune 40 under 40 list, and she advises and mentors top up-and-coming companies across the United States. She has built out multiple successful product development teams, and her many academic-industry partnerships include projects with Apple, Salesforce, Microsoft Research, and others. Erica has delivered public talks on numerous topics ranging from product/market fit to using technology for good. She has also been featured in numerous publications including, Forbes, TechCrunch, and Business Insider. Erica’s broad network, and mix of career heights, and voice for good, make her a force in Silicon Valley.
Erica’s strong business experience is matched by her depth of scientific prowess and global impact on the scientific community. Erica is a published book author, has published over a dozen scientific papers in prestigious peer reviewed journals, and has presented at numerous scientific conferences. She has focused her research on neuroscience, such as how exposure to nature can improve mental health, at world renowned institutions such as Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and UCSF. Erica’s numerous scientific accomplishments include co-creation of the Brain Health Assessment, used as a standard mechanism to diagnose brain health disorders throughout the world.
Alongside her efforts to give back in other ways, by co-founding The John and Erica Jersin Foundation, Erica will be lending her expertise building numerous successful teams, and products used around the world, to help enable Pathloom’s success. In her free time, Erica loves to bike, mountaineer, and rock climb. She has ridden her bike around the entire perimeter of Lake Tahoe, and rock climbed to the top of some of Yosemite Valley’s great peaks and backpacked to the summits of several of the tallest mountains in the continental United States. Her interest in Pathloom stems from the intersection of her professional and personal passions: the outdoors, mental health, and technology. Erica is eager to help enable outdoor experiences - and the mental health benefits her research has shown such experiences provide - for millions of people through Pathloom’s growing platform.
