Pathloom is a Bay Area-based technology startup on a mission to get more people outdoors, more often by reimagining the way people discover the outdoors. Ankit Jain, the Founder & CEO of Pathloom, met Lauren a few months back through the Founder Institute pre-seed accelerator program where she is a mentor.
Lauren built up her strategy and product chops at some of the world’s biggest tech companies - Microsoft and eBay - and is an active speaker and mentor throughout the Bay Area product and startup community. Over her career, she’s worked on almost every product area - from front end to backend, desktop to mobile apps, buyer to seller, and discovery to payments. She brings a decade of experience working in leading marketplace companies, like StubHub and her current role as Senior Director of Product Management at Care.com. Lauren received a B.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA with Honors from the Kellogg School of Management.
The only thing that Lauren loves more than getting the flywheel of multi-sided businesses spinning is empowering and connecting people, and that’s why Lauren instantly understood Ankit’s vision for Pathloom. Going outdoors isn’t just a trip; it’s an experience. Experiences help us find meaning, they make us happier and healthier, and they are often shared with friends, but planning trips are a lot of work. By reimagining the trip planning experience, Pathloom will help more people connect with nature, with themselves, and with each other as they share the experience of these trips together.
As an Advisor, Lauren will be lending her product expertise to guide Pathloom to find product-market fit, from setting product strategy to defining user stories and designs to making go-to market plans. Pathloom is excited to welcome Lauren to the team and takes another step towards its mission of getting more people outdoors, more often!
